L'Oreal Fashion Week Spring 2009 (October 20th-25th) will mark the inaugural launch of the annually held LG Fashion Fusion, the closing night gala.

LG Fashion Fusion will take place under the bright lights of the L'Oreal Fashion Week tents in Nathan Phillips Square Toronto, Canada, on the evening of Saturday October 25th. Under the wing of the Fashion Design Council of Canada, L'Oreal Fashion Week is inviting graduating fashion students from around the world to partake in a collaborative fashion show during LG Fashion Fusion.

One student, from each of approximately five cities, will be invited to show their graduating capsule collection at LG Fashion Fusion against a backdrop of internationally recognized musicians, designers, V.I.P's, industry, and fashion experts to be nationally broadcasted for all of Canada to see. Nadia Lemmer, 4th year CPUT student, has been chosen to attend this year’s event to represent up and coming talent from South Africa.

Bryan Ramkilawan, CPUT academic and CTFC Chairperson said. "Woolworths approached the CPUT recently to identify one of our most talented students, it is a true honour for us to send one of our students and a huge opportunity."
