Welcome to the inaugural AFI/iFashion Start UP! Competition
With the support of Brother and Foschini we are able to offer one 2nd or 3rd year fashion design student the chance of a lifetime: everything you need to start a successful fashion brand.
The aim of the AFI/ iFashion STARTUP competition is to offer a complete start-up fashion business package – enabling fashion students to make the jump from novice to professional.
Design and create a garment inspired by the art of embroidery (machine or hand embroidered). It has to be wearable, it has to incorporate the latest trends in colour, design and technique, and it must be indicative of where you see yourself as a South African designer today. Then submit a photo of your creation on the register section above along with a mood board depicting the direction of your design and a 200 word or less motivation on the garment.
