Think you have what it takes? AFI and CTFC invite models to an open casting call with a view to walking at Cape Town Fashion Week
Fashion is a business platform and a key financial driver for the city of Cape Town.
It is with this in mind that AFI brings you Cape Town Fashion Week from 13-16 July 2011.South African models abroad are making their mark , and Fashion Week is often a launch pad for a successful international career. One such example is Lauren Buys who is now the face of Thierry Mugler and L’Oreal in Paris.
There is a strict curatorial process for designers, and for the first time this year, AFI is applying the same process to models.
The best local models will be complemented by models from Brazil, New York, Jamaica, London and the Netherlands who will be coming in for the shows to reflect the cosmopolitan vibe of Cape Town. The hunt is also on for fresh, new Cape Town faces!
