The
18th Annual IPM Womens Convention was held at the ICC in Durban, on
the 20 July 2012. The convention’s theme was ‘The balancing act’ and was filled
with South African Stars and VIPS, who shared their stories and experiences,
based on the theme, to the women of the convention.
The
Speakers included; Aaron Kanchan from Old Mutual, Helen Nicholson from The
Networking Company, Unathi Msengana from Metro Fm and Idols, Jo Ann De Wet CEO
of Mc Donalds SA and Trish Taylor from East Coast Radio.
The
Institute for People Management dedicates their efforts “to providing knowledge
and tools for, strategic people development and leadership, which contributes
to growth, profitability and sustainability of businesses.“
This
year IPM teamed up with Eduventures t/a The Ventures Group, to add to the
entertainment side of this convention. The most famous white woman in South
Africa, Evita Bezuidenhout graced us with her presence, for an amazing comedy
skit. Mo Magic enchanted the crowd with his trickery and Eastern Move’s dance
performances added some eastern and african feel to the convention through
their routines. While Extreme Model
Management show cased Durban Designers, through a unique fashion show featuring;
Karen Monk Klijnstra, Katherine Fleur and Brenda Quin.
