Have you ever bought an expensive beauty product only to use it and find out that it doesn't meet your needs? No doubt you wish you could have first tested it before buying. Or maybe you want to get the scoop on new products before anyone else.
Welcome to GlamBox, a new concept in sampling that is going to change the way South African women shop for their beauty products.
For a monthly fee of R100 this exclusive new service will deliver a gorgeous gift box that contains four to five deluxe samples from South Africa's top beauty brands. Each box will be worth at least R300 and will be delivered to member's doors every month. This gives GlamBox members the chance to try each product in the comfort of their homes. To join, register at www.glambox.co.za where you will fill out a profile that allows them to personalise your GlamBox.
But that isn't where it ends. GlamBox will also give all Glam Girls the opportunity to respond to beauty companies via their website and give them that all-important feedback they need to ensure their beauty products continue to meet the changing needs of modern women.
They'll do this through online surveys as well as offering you the chance to create YouTube blogs about products and comment on Facebook and Twitter about your experiences. It'll be like having a hotline to your favourite brands.
The best part is each time you interact with GlamBox you'll have the chance to earn GlamPoints which can be banked and used against the purchase of the full-sized version of your favourite samples through the online store.
“The idea is to get consumers (that are) passionate about cosmetics and high-end beauty products trialing new brands and products in the comfort of their home to find what works for them,” explains director and founder, Kathryn Briggs.
“GlamBox doesn't plan to leave its members hanging either, we will offer supporting content each month related to the products including how-to videos, interviews, tips and tutorials to ensure our members get the most from their samples and engage with the brands they like.”
GlamBox launched on 5 September with the first lucky 500 subscribers getting the Launch Edition box and Now you have the chance to find out for yourself why this concept has been so well received in South Africa. Not only is it a great way to test beauty products before investing in them but it makes an ideal gift for someone you love (especially if that someone is you).
“We want our circle of Glam Girls to have fun experiencing new products and brands and rediscovering old favourites. The concept is about them trying the products and learning about the brands in order to make more informed purchasing choices - we hope GlamBox will help end the days of costly buying mistakes.”
